Driven by a passion for all things natural, I was moved to shift the focus of my services to helping clients to celebrate and enhance their natural beauty. Through my services, I acknowledge the fundamental fact that true beauty begins within.  Being focused on organic beauty is better for the hair, AND the body. In addition, it contributes to a healthier environment.  Most importantly, when a person looks good, feels good, and does good for themselves, it's also better for their spirit. 

 

How I Got My Start in the Field of Cosmetic Arts

 

Love for a man brought me into the Cosmetology Industry.  He was a Bahamian working as a Barber in Harlem, NY.  He was the first to ‘put a bug in my ear’ about becoming a Hair Stylist; with big promises of us moving to the Bahamas and opening a unisex salon.  Those dreams have long since faded, along with our romance, but my love for Cosmetology has continued to grow.  I’ve been a part of this industry since 1991, and have been privileged to work along with some of the most talented stylist in the industry.  I’ve had the pleasure of working with all types of clients and providing a wide variety of services.

 

Throughout my 20+ year career, I set a goal to never shy away from any hair type, and i'm always willing to take on a challenge.  That's how I have developed my talent, and how i'm able to provide services to a diverse clientele.  I make it my business to know and become skilled in the latest's techniques in the industry, and to apply that skill with passionate artistry; all the while staying intensely focused on the needs and goals of the individual client.  My clients also respect, and trust me because of my honesty, and sincere desire to provide them with my absolute best!

As an Artist, i'm also interested in other media forms.  I love to paint, and write.  I also like to participate in volunteer activities with organizations such as Look Good Feel Better, American Cancer Society, and Cut It Out.
